Edmonton Oilers’ Finnish forward Kasperi Kapanen was involved in many aspects during last night’s NHL game against the Anaheim Ducks. Kapanen managed to both fight and score a goal, but Edmonton lost at home with a score of 4–5.

Kapanen dropped the gloves late in the first period and squared off against Anaheim defenseman Pavel Mintjukov. However, the fight was brief, as Kapanen stumbled and fell quickly to the ice.

In the final period, Kapanen celebrated his fifth goal of the season. The Finnish forward scored on the power play at 56:24, narrowing the game to 5-3.

Edmonton was still pushing for a comeback when Leon Draisaitl reduced the deficit to 4–5 in the last minute. However, the equalizer did not materialize.

The Oilers’ superstar Connor McDavid continued his impressive scoring streak. The Canadian recorded 1+3 in the game, extending his point streak to 17 games. McDavid has accumulated a remarkable 44 points (10+34) in 17 games this season.

On Anaheim’s side, Mikael Granlund also got his name on the scoresheet. The Finnish forward registered an assist on Mintjukov’s second-period goal, making it 3–2.
