The last season for Vaasan Sport was bleak in sports terms, and now the effects of the season are also visible in the club’s financial figures.

Sport recorded a loss of 740,000 euros in the last financial year. The club confirmed the figures at the general meeting held on Monday.

According to Sport, the result was significantly impacted by the unsuccessful sports season and its reflection on the company’s business.

Sport was overwhelmingly the bottom team in the entire league last season.

There was also a change in leadership at the general meeting. Sport got a new chairman of the board, as Juha Päivike was elected to the position.

Päivike replaces Ismo Auke, who stepped down from the position.

In the new board, in addition to Päivike, are Matti Manner, Mikael Hallbäck, Hans Bertell, Kaj Wiik, and Tuomas Saikkonen.
