KalPa has found itself in an unfortunate situation at the end of the regular season. The team is suffering from injuries to several key players.

In the weekend matches, the latest to drop out from KalPa’s roster were Patrick Curry and Benjamin Korhonen. Both are estimated to return between weeks 10-13, meaning their absence will last 2-5 weeks for each.

Already on the injured list were Andreas Okany, Cade Borchardt, Jaakko Rissanen, Stefanos Lekkas, Teemu Hartikainen, and Juuso Mäenpää, with Mäenpää’s season now over.

– We currently have an unusually high number of injuries, which have mainly resulted from impact injuries. There are no overuse injuries in the team. Now we are focusing on rehabilitating the injured players and aiming to get them fit before the start of the playoffs, KalPa’s sports director Anssi Laine commented in the club’s statement.
