KalPa has signed a two-year contract with goalkeeper Rasmus Korhonen. The contract is valid until spring 2028.

Korhonen, 23, arrived at KalPa 2.5 weeks ago to replace the injured Patrik Kerkola. At that time, KalPa made a short-term contract with Korhonen until September 23.

Korhonen has played three strong pre-season games with KalPa and quickly earned a longer contract as a result.

– Rasmus has integrated strongly into the team and has shown his level in the pre-season games. We needed additional depth in our goaltending department, and Rasmus meets this need excellently, says KalPa’s sports director Sami Kaartinen in the club’s statement.

In the previous two seasons, Korhonen played in Allsvenskan with the Västerås team. In the league, he has previously represented Ässät, Sport and Jukurit in a total of 44 games.
