Kaleva: Fines! The head coach of Kärpät’s outburst turned out to be expensive
The league has imposed a fine on Kärpät for the actions of the club’s head coach Petri Karjalainen. This is reported by Kaleva.
The league fined Kärpät for Karjalainen’s comments in the press conference after Saturday’s match against KooKoo. Karjalainen harshly criticized the league’s schedule, as the previous night Kärpät had played in Jyväskylä and rushed to Oulu for a match against KooKoo that started at 5:00 PM.
– The schedule is pure idiocy. This situation is completely absurd. Today we suffer a lot from it, last weekend it was someone else, Karjalainen fired away.
– Who the hell thinks about this? This is not in anyone’s interest: neither the players’ nor the game’s interest. This is just survival. Then they fuss about having a fair league schedule. I don’t know where that is.
