JYP’s superstar: bad news
Bad news is coming from the JYP infirmary as they fight for a spot in the top four of the league.
The star forward Santeri Huovila, who was sidelined for three months earlier in the season due to injury, is once again out of the lineup as JYP hosts Kiekko-Espoo on Wednesday.
Huovila, 21, was a sensational player at the start of the league season, hanging around the top spots of the scoring leaderboard before his injury in mid-November. He was ultimately out for three months due to a surgery-requiring injury.
Huovila has played 26 regular season games this season, with stats of 3+32=35.
Other absences for JYP on Wednesday include Antti Tyrväinen, who is serving a suspension, Pekka Jormakka, and the league’s goal-scoring ace Leevi Tukiainen, who is just returning to the lineup for the playoffs.
