JYP has received some really bad news from the sick bay.
The club announces that the star forward wearing the golden helmet, Santeri Huovila, is suffering from an upper body injury that requires surgical treatment. The operation will be performed immediately, and Huovila is initially expected to be sidelined for 10-12 weeks.
Huovila, 21, has recorded 29 points (3+26) in 20 games this season. He leads the league in assists and is second in points. Huovila has formed a top-performing forward line with Leevi Tukiaisen and Jere Lassilan this season.
