JYP has received great news from the sick bay.
The star forward Santeri Huovila, who has been sidelined for a long time due to injury, is returning to action this week. Huovila is expected to play on Thursday when JYP faces HPK at home.
– Our magician Huovila is very likely to be in the lineup for the first time in a long while, JYP’s head coach Petri Matikainen says in a video published by the club video.
Huovila, 21, suffered an upper body injury that required surgery. He has been out for just over two and a half months. The last game Huovila played was on November 15.
Huovila has recorded 29 points (3+26) in 20 games this season. Before his injury, he formed a highly effective forward line with Jere Lassila and Leevi Tukiaisen.
