Jukka Jalonen returns to the League!
The master coach of the Lions Jukka Jalonen returns to the League. HPK announced on Friday that Jalonen will start in the club as an advisor. Jalonen’s title at the club is Senior Advisor.
Jalonen’s role includes developing sports operations, supporting coaching, and assisting in player scouting.
Jalonen’s return also closes a circle in the star pilot’s career. Jalonen served as the head coach of HPK from 2001 to 2007 and led the “Kerho” to become Finnish champions once.
– My role is to help coaching and player scouting based on what I see when I follow the matches. The environment and factors of the club are already familiar to me, so it’s good to start working. I have been following HPK’s games since last season and have had discussions with the coaching staff, and a few little tips have been found, Jalonen explains his role.
Jalonen’s position as the head coach of the Italian national team will end after the spring World Championships.
