Joona Luoto: Big news in the Tappara rumor – AL: major revelation about the upcoming address
The Swedish newspaper Expressen reported on Thursday that SHL club HV71’s forward Joona Luoto would be returning to his youth club Tappara, where he won championships in 2017 and 2022.
The news received a lot of attention in Finland, but the player’s agent Ilkka Larva dismisses the claims to Aamulehti. At the same time, Larva confirmed that Luoto will not be playing in Finland next season.
– It is not true. Joona has not decided on a team for next season, but Finland is off the table, Larva says.
The 28-year-old Luoto has played two seasons with HV71. This season, he recorded 4+5 points in 30 regular season games and played an important role as HV71 secured their place in the SHL for next season through the relegation series.
Originally from Tampere, Luoto has previously played in the Liiga for Tappara as well as HIFK. In North America, he has NHL experience with the Winnipeg Jets and Columbus Blue Jackets. In Europe, he has also played one season in the Swiss top league with SC Bern.
