Jonne Virtanen’s remark was captured on camera – later removed: “I’m going to hit”
Ässät won against Jukurit in an away game on Friday 3-2 in overtime. Jukurit led the match by two goals, but Ässät came back and ultimately took an extra point in overtime.
After the post-match press conference, Jukurit’s head coach Jonne Virtanen placed the microphone on the table. Following this, the colorful comments and rough humor of Virtanen were evident as he said to the standing Ässät head coach Jarno Pikkarainen the following words:
– I’m going to hit Haatanen.
Virtanen’s remark was heard after the official part of the press conference, while the coaches were still in place and the cameras were on. However, this part was later completely cut from the recording of the press conference.
The Aleks Haatanen mentioned by Virtanen recorded a -3 in his game stats, meaning he was on the ice during all of Ässät’s goals.
