Jokerit has made a huge acquisition for its Liiga roster for the upcoming season from another Liiga team.
According to Yle, the Helsinki club will be strengthened next season by KalPa’s star forward Patrick Curry. The 30-year-old American ranked third in the points race last season with 60 points from 60 games, scoring 29+31=60. The season culminated in a Finnish championship.
This season, Curry has scored 22 points (10+12) in 29 games and is once again a new addition to Jokerit’s arms race for next season. Previously, it has been reported that the team has signed contracts with the quartet of Antti Kalapudas, Maxime Fortier, Henri Nikkanen, and Emil Kuusla, who are playing for SaiPa this season.
