The Helsinki Jokerit is preparing for a crucial week in the Liiga while severely short-handed. Currently, five players are missing from the team’s lineup due to injuries.

The most significant absentee is star forward Teemu Turunen. Turunen, who was injured in the third regular season game of the season, is expected to be out for another 3–5 weeks.

Also, Olli Juolevi, who has been recovering from injuries throughout the early part of the season, will have to wait several more weeks before returning to action. The defenseman’s recovery timeline is 2–4 weeks.

The situation of Kristo Pitkänen is being monitored day by day.

Last week, the Jokerit injury list added two new patients. Miro Nalli and Oskari Manninen had to step aside, and neither of their return timelines has been confirmed yet. Nalli’s situation is evaluated day by day, while Manninen’s examinations are still ongoing.

This week, the Jokerit will face two tough opponents at home. On Thursday, they have the anticipated Stadin Derby against HIFK. On Saturday, the league leaders Ilves will visit Helsinki.
