Jokerit dropped goalie news!
Jokerit has made a season-ending agreement with goalkeeper Tomi Karhunen.
Karhunen, 36, joined Jokerit in September and has played seven Liiga games for the team since then. His original contract was first extended until the end of October, but strong performances have now earned him a deal through the end of the season.
Jokerit’s sports director Olli-Pekka Yrjänheikki says the club is very pleased with Karhunen’s continuation.
– Karhu’s performances on the ice have spoken for themselves, and he has proven his level. We are very happy that he continues with us, Yrjänheikki commented in Jokerit’s press release.
Karhunen has recorded a save percentage of 88.3 in seven games. He has also achieved two shutouts.
