Buffalo Sabres and forward Peyton Krebs have signed a contract extension.
Sabres GM Jarmo Kekäläinen made a four-year deal with the Canadian center. The new contract is worth a total of 18 million dollars, meaning Krebs will earn 4.5 million dollars per season.
The 25-year-old Krebs had the best regular season of his NHL career last season in terms of points. He played all 82 games for the Sabres and collected 29 points.
Krebs continued his strong performance in the playoffs as well. He scored a total of six points with 2+4 in six games.
Sabres made it to the second round of the playoffs last spring. The team’s season ultimately ended against the Montreal Canadiens.
