In the league today: National team player makes his debut in his new club
The league will have a two-match round on Thursday evening.
Special attention is drawn to Lappeenranta, where both SaiPa and Pelicans are looking to end their three-match losing streaks.
On the player side, Pelicans will showcase their new foreign reinforcement in the match, Oskars Batna, who scored 20 goals for Jukurit two seasons ago.
The 195-centimeter Latvian giant, who has played in six World Championships, was part of the team that sensationally won the World Championship bronze for his country a couple of years ago. Batna will be playing in the center of Pelicans’ second line, flanked by Joona Kumpula and Elias Vilen.
In the second Liiga match of the evening, Tappara, who will have Kristian Tanus returning to their lineup after missing three matches, will face Sport.
