Ilves signed the league’s two-time goal king
Ilves has signed a contract for the remainder of the season with experienced forward Olli Palola, 37.
Palola, who originally signed a short-term contract with the Tampere club in October that was set to last until the beginning of November, has played nine Liiga games this season, recording 2+0 points.
– Olli came in excellently to our team and earned a contract for the rest of the season with his performances. “Opa” is an experienced and committed professional as well as a well-liked team player with an excellent shot. We are happy that he continues with Ilves, Ilves’ sports director Timo Koskela commented in the club’s press release.
Palola has won the Liiga scoring title twice in his career. The forward represented Ässät last season and scored 13+3=16 points in 29 games.
