IL: Does the NHL troll praise Jokerit? The terrifying reinforcement is of interest in the overseas leagues
The Jokers will play in the Liiga next season after a long break. The Narrit are not just participating; the club is assembling a very strong team. Many of the Jokers’ profile players are from SaiPa’s successful team this season.
However, the Jokers might face a setback regarding one reinforcement. The player rumored to join the Narrit, Henri Nikkanen, may head to the NHL next season, it is reported in Iltalehti’s Kiekkopodi.
– Nikkanen’s regular season has been so strong that it has already been noticed in the NHL. I heard before the playoffs started as a certainty that at least two NHL teams have shown interest in Nikkanen, Mikko Räsänen reveals in Lätkäpodi.
– When considering that the interest was already there during the regular season, the NHL also looks at playoff merits and searches for players who can elevate their game even more as the importance of the games increases. Nikkanen just scored a hat trick in game seven. There is no stronger evidence in that direction.
Nikkanen scored impressive stats of 27+29=56 in 60 regular season games. In the playoffs, he has tallied 4+2=6 points in eight matches.
