In a recent article, the Swedish newspaper Expressen evaluates which SHL players could be affordable reinforcements for the next season.
One of the highlighted names is Örebro’s defender Luke Martin. Finnish hockey fans remember Martin from his time with HIFK from 2023-25.
Expressen estimates that Martin’s salary level is 160,000 euros net per year. The puck-moving defender has recorded 7+16=23 points in 49 games in the SHL this season.
During two seasons with HIFK, Martin was among the most effective defenders in the league. In the 2024-25 season, he scored 13+36=49 points in 60 regular-season games.
