HIFK suffered a painful defeat in the league’s Saturday round. Ässät thrashed the Helsinki team with a clear score of 6-0.
Ässät was clearly the better team in the match. The Porilaiset controlled the puck 56 percent of the time and took 63 shots. HIFK had half as many shots, with 31 recorded.
The hero of the evening for Ässät was Jonne Tammela, who scored a hat trick. The left winger of the third line has now totaled 6+6 points this season.
With the victory, Ässät solidified their position at the top of the league. HIFK, on the other hand, is in 15th place.
