HIFK star was rushed to the hospital on a stretcher – A shocking moment in the league

During Friday’s Liiga round, there were frightening moments when HIFK’s goalkeeper Hugo Alnefelt was injured in a dangerous-looking incident against Ilves.
The Swede was hit in the head by Ilves forward Teemu Engberg’s leg, resulting in the 24-year-old goalkeeper being carried off the ice on a stretcher with a neck brace. The incident completely silenced the home crowd on Nordenskiöldinkatu.
Alnefelt showed a thumbs up to the audience while being carried out of the rink by medical staff. No further information about the severity of the injury has been received yet.
