HIFK experienced a severe setback – Olli Jokinen: “Impossible to replace”
HIFK confirmed on Tuesday the nightmarish news about their star forward Sebastian Repo.
The club reported on their website that Repo will be out due to injury for about three months.
HIFK’s head coach Olli Jokinen commented on Repo’s injury in an interview with SuomiKiekko during the league’s media event on Tuesday.
The exact severity of the injury was not known at the time of the interview.
– It’s impossible to replace him one for one. It’s a very unfortunate situation for the player, Jokinen said.
Repo suffered injuries last season as well. The experienced forward showed that when healthy, he could bring the much-needed scoring power to HIFK’s offense.
Repo returned from a long sick leave last spring and recorded 4+2 points in his first seven games.
