HIFK has received great news ahead of Wednesday’s home game against Sport.
The team’s Swedish goalkeeper Hugo Alnefelt is returning to the lineup and will start in goal for HIFK against Sport. Alnefelt has been absent from HIFK’s lineup for the last four games.
Alnefelt was injured in the Ilves game on Friday, January 9, when Teemu Engberg’s foot hit him in the head. As a result, Alnefelt was carried off the ice on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. Ultimately, Alnefelt came out of the situation without any serious injury.
Alnefelt has played 19 games this season with a save percentage of 88.4.
