HIFK announcement: new acquisition!
HIFK strengthens with goalkeeper Hugo Alnefelt. The league’s bottom team announced this on their website.
Alnefelt is a contracted player of HV71, who joins HIFK on a loan agreement for the remainder of the season. The 24-year-old Swedish goalkeeper’s loan includes a one-month trial period.
The 191-centimeter tall Alnefelt played last season in Sweden’s SHL, appearing in 28 regular season games with a save percentage of 90.0.
During the 2021-2024 seasons, Alnefelt caught pucks in the Tampa Bay Lightning organization, primarily in the minors. He accumulated one NHL game.
