HIFK: again eight players out of the club!
HIFK announces again the departure of eight players from the club. Goalkeeper Niko Hovinen, defender Oliver Larsen, and forwards Petr Kodytek, Otto Somppi, Kasper Lundell, Petrus Palmu, Panu Mieho, and Juhani Jasu will not continue with HIFK next season.
Hovinen represented HIFK for the seasons 2023-26, playing 68 regular season games for the club. Larsen joined HIFK in January 2025, recording 70 regular season games with a total of 4+16=20 points.
Kodytek played 107 regular season games for HIFK over two seasons, scoring 25+46=71 points. Somppi joined the club mid-season 2024-25 and played a total of 73 games with 9+10=19 points.
Lundell returned to HIFK mid-season 2024-25. Since then, he played 75 games for the club with 9+8=17 points. Palmu, who arrived at HIFK in January 2025, recorded 67 games with 11+28=39 points.
Mieho, who returned to HIFK in the summer of 2024, played 52 games over two seasons with 4+9=13 points. Jasu, who suffered from injuries, did not play any games this season and last season he was only able to play 11 regular season games with 1+0 points.
HIFK just announced yesterday, Thursday, the departure of eight players. Now, in just two days, there are already 16 departures.
