Here is the Jukurit captaincy for the next season – this is how the selections were made
Mikkelin Jukurit has announced its captaincy for the Liiga season 2025-26.
The captain of Jukurit will continue to be the club legend Jesper Piitulainen. The alternate captains are Juuso Arola, Aleks Haatanen, Sakke Hämäläinen, and Alexander Ruuttu.
Piitulainen has been part of Jukurit’s captaincy for eight seasons and has served as captain in two different seasons.
– We have an exemplary and good leadership group in place. The process went such that I decided on the captain, the rest of the coaching staff got to choose one alternate captain, and we also involved the players in the selection process, Jukurit’s head coach Jonne Virtanen says in the club’s announcement.
All alternate captains will start their second season with Jukurit. Among them, Hämäläinen served as an alternate captain last season, while Arola, Haatanen, and Ruuttu are now joining Jukurit’s captaincy for the first time.
