HäSa: Here is HPK’s head coach for the next season
The head coach of HPK, currently second to last in the league, for the next season is known.
Mikko Manner, who was hired as HPK’s head coach during the last season, confirmed in an interview with Hämeen Sanomat on Monday that he does not intend to use the foreign option stated in his contract for the next season but will continue as head coach in Hämeenlinna.
HPK, which has won only one of its last 12 matches, is currently in a difficult position in the Liiga standings. The “Kerho,” which has sold star forward Kristian Vesalainen for cost-saving reasons and is mired in a six-game losing streak, has fallen five points behind the last playoff spot.
HPK’s season continues on Tuesday with a home game against JYP, which is currently second in the league.
