The Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in 2026. They defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in the sixth final match and took the series 4-2.

The opening goal and the winning goal were scored by Taylor Hall, who succeeded just under four minutes into the game. The goal was assisted by Jackson Blake, who in turn took Carolina to a two-goal lead in the second period.

Nikolaj Ehlers sealed the final score at 3-0 in the third period. In goal for Carolina, Brandon Bussi recorded a shutout in the decisive match with 22 saves.

This is Carolina’s second Stanley Cup victory in the franchise’s history. The first came 20 years ago, in 2006.

With Carolina’s victory, two new Stanley Cup winners were added to Finland. The team is represented by forwards Sebastian Aho and Jesperi Kotkaniemi.

Aho played 19 playoff games with a total of 5+7=12 points. Kotkaniemi, on the other hand, did not play any playoff games. In the regular season, Kotkaniemi played 42 games, so his name will also be on the trophy, as the required number of games in the regular season is 41.
