The Vegas Golden Knights head into the sixth game of the Stanley Cup Finals without Swedish forward William Karlsson, who was injured in the fifth game of the series.

Head coach John Tortorella confirmed on Saturday that Karlsson will not play in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Karlsson suffered an upper body injury in Thursday’s game in Raleigh, which forced him to leave the game early.

However, Tortorella did not rule out the possibility that Karlsson could return to the lineup if the finals stretch to a seventh game.

Karlsson’s season has been plagued by injuries. He played only 14 games in the regular season, scoring four goals and collecting seven points. In the playoffs, he has played 15 games, scoring 9 points.

Vegas is down 2–3 in the series, so the team must win to stay in the championship race. Carolina is one win away from the Stanley Cup championship, which could be decided in the night between Sunday and Monday, Finnish time.
