Finnish players on fire in Dallas – Miro Heiskanen ties NHL record
The Dallas Stars continued their strong performance in last night’s NHL round. Dallas defeated the Ottawa Senators in overtime with a score of 3-2, extending their winning streak to three games.
The Finnish stars of Dallas played a big role in the victory. Mikko Rantanen scored his team’s opening goal on a breakaway and got an assist on the second goal in the third period. Roope Hintz netted the winning goal in overtime. Miro Heiskanen collected two assists in the game.
Heiskanen is on a four-game point streak. He has accumulated ten assists in four games, with at least two assists in each game.
Heiskanen’s streak of multiple assists in four games is already tying an NHL record. Among active defensemen, only Erik Karlsson, Josh Morissey, and Roman Josi have achieved the same.
In 17 games this season, Heiskanen has recorded stats of 3+13=16. Hintz, on the other hand, has scored 4+8=12 in 12 games, and Rantanen has 9+14=23 in 17 games.
