Evander Kane has reacted strongly to the criticism made by his former San Jose Sharks teammate Kurtis Gabriel. Kane hinted on X that he might still reveal his version of events – and mentioned that it wouldn’t just be talk.

– I can’t wait for the day when I decide to tell my “truth.” The only difference? My truth will come with facts, evidence, and the real truth.

Kane implied that his silence has allowed others to speak around him.

– Many have become far too comfortable speaking publicly while relying on me to stay quiet. Enjoy it while it lasts.

The NHL forward’s messages continued as he hinted at possible future revelations.

– There are a lot of bombs, and many names are involved. When the time is right, everything will speak for itself.

Gabriel slammed his former teammate

Kane responded to Gabriel’s earlier criticism made on the San Jose Hockey Now podcast.

Gabriel described Kane as a “horrible teammate” and said he caused “massive problems” in the San Jose Sharks’ locker room during the 2020–21 season.

– I think it’s disgusting that a player can be that talented, behave that way constantly, and still keep their job, Gabriel marveled.

According to Gabriel, there was a good atmosphere in the Sharks’ locker room before. He stated that GM Doug Wilson believed the team could handle a personality like Kane’s.

– We had a good atmosphere in our locker room, and GM Doug Wilson thought we could handle a personality like Kane’s. But no, you can’t handle pure narcissism that stems from insecurity, the former NHL forward continued his criticism of Kane.

Kane was the Sharks’ top scorer during the 2020–21 season. San Jose terminated his contract during the 2021–22 season.

After that, Kane continued his career with the Edmonton Oilers and played last season with the Vancouver Canucks.

The currently 34-year-old forward is without an NHL contract. Several KHL teams are also reported to be interested in him.

I can’t wait for the day I decide to share “my truths.” The only difference? Mine will come with facts, receipts, and the actual truth.

For now, I’ll simply say this: a lot of people have become far too comfortable speaking publicly while relying on my silence. Enjoy it while it
