Defender of Jukurit loaned abroad – team has a Finnish head coach
The Jukurit announce that they have rented defender Valtteri Koskela to the multinational ICEHL.
Koskela will move to the Hungarian club Ferencvárosi TC on a comprehensive loan agreement until the national team break in November. Jukurit have the right to recall Koskela if necessary.
The head coach of Ferencváros is Finnish hockey legend Timo Saarikoski. Under their Finnish coach, the team is currently in tenth place in the ICEHL standings.
Koskela, 22, has been in Jukurit’s lineup for two games at the start of the season but did not get any playing time in either. Last season, he played 39 games in Mikkeli with stats of 0+4.
In his Liiga career, Koskela has played 89 games with stats of 2+12=14. He has also represented his youth club JYP and HIFK.
