The Jokerit faced tough challenges in the Liiga’s Saturday match round. Lukko gave the Helsinki team a proper beating, crushing them 7-2.

The match was not as uneven as the final score might suggest. Lukko shot 49 times in the game, while Jokerit shot 45 times.

The biggest differences between the teams were in goaltending and defense. Jokerit gifted the Rauma team numerous breakaways, which Lukko converted at a high percentage.

The Swedish acquisition Olle Eriksson Ek started the game in goal for Jokerit. He managed to make 11 saves and allowed five goals before he was called to the bench.

Veini Vehviläinen also made 11 saves. He allowed two goals behind him.

Next, Jokerit will play against Ässät in Pori next Wednesday. Lukko, on the other hand, will face JYP in Rauma on Wednesday.
