Christmas certificates distributed! Here is the league's all-star field for the fall season.

While waiting for the bacon and packages, it’s a good time to share the Christmas certificates for the league’s brightest individuals this fall. SuomiKiekko has assembled an all-star lineup of the biggest success stories of the autumn.

Goaltender: Patrik Bartosak, Pelicans

This fall, there have been two goaltenders in the league who have stood out from the rest with their top performances: Pelicans’ Patrik Bartosak and Ässät’s Jan Bednar. We elevate Bartosak to the top spot because, at the beginning of the season, he received no support from his team and still leads the league with six shutouts. Furthermore, Bartosak’s statistics are impressive. The Czech goaltender has a save percentage of 92.5, an average of 1.78 goals against, and he has saved 20.76 goals above expected.

Defender: Tarmo Reunanen, TPS

This fall, Tarmo Reunanen has been TPS’s biggest individual success. Although scoring has once again been a struggle for the Turku team, Reunanen is third in the defenders’ points race with 21 points (4+17) in 32 games. His performance has also been solid in his own zone, as evidenced by his +9 plus/minus rating and a 57.9% success rate in battles.

Defender: Simon Johansson, Ilves

Ilves’ Simon Johansson has been the best puck-moving defender of the fall, leaving Sami Vatanen and Jakob Stenqvist far behind. In 29 games, Johansson has impressive stats of 13+12=25. The Swedish defender’s contribution to the power play has been particularly significant, as he has seven power-play goals at this point in the season, the most on the Ilves team and the third most in the entire league.

Left Winger: Benjamin Rautiainen, Tappara

Tappara’s Benjamin Rautiainen is having an incredible season at just 20 years old. At the start of the season, the winger was overshadowed by his teammate Joachim Blichfeld, but as the games progressed, Rautiainen has stepped up, increased his dominance on the ice, and risen to the top of the points leaderboard. In 32 games, he has already scored 14+32=46 points. At this scoring pace, Rautiainen would be on track for an astonishing 86 points in the regular season! Next season, he will surely be called up to the NHL.

Center: Jere Lassila, JYP

Jere Lassila possesses nearly everything one could hope for from a center. The 21-year-old center is an excellent playmaker, can finish plays himself, wins battles along the boards, and wins face-offs for his team. Lassila was also the most effective center in the league this fall, tallying 10+25=35 points in 30 games.

Right Winger: Joachim Blichfeld, Tappara

Joachim Blichfeld was Rautiainen’s partner in crime and the most dominant player in the league this fall. The Danish forward has an incredible shot that makes even a poor scoring chance dangerous. His shot is hard, quick, and comes from tight spaces. However, Blichfeld is also capable of playmaking and is not always just shooting. So far, the Dane has scored 20+23=43 points in 32 games.
