Sportsnet’s insider reporter Elliotte Friedman reports on X that American forward Kevin Labanc is joining the Carolina Hurricanes on a tryout contract.
The 29-year-old Labanc played 34 NHL games last season with the Columbus Blue Jackets, recording 2+10 in points.
Labanc moved to the Blue Jackets from the San Jose Sharks, where he played for eight seasons. In total, the forward has played 512 regular season games in the NHL, with 84+153=237 points.
