Big revelation from the supplier – Finland risks missing out on the World Cup!
NHL announced on Monday that the 2028 World Cup will be held in Edmonton, Calgary, and Prague.
The participating countries for the tournament are not yet known. The option of including Russia in the tournament is also being considered.
Czech journalist Robert Rampa reports on X that among others, Finland is absolutely opposed to Russia’s participation.
– According to my information, European countries have informed the NHL that if Russia is included in the World Cup in the current situation, the Czech Republic, Finland, and Sweden will not participate, Rampa writes.
A total of eight countries will participate in the tournament.
– Speculation has been about the following: Canada, the United States, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Germany. And one spot is left. Slovakia or Russia? Rampa wonders.
