Bad news for Ässi: two defenders on the sick list – Miro Karjalainen out for a long time

Ässät has received unfortunate news from the injury front.
The team informs on their website that defenders Miro Karjalainen and Petteri Nurmi will be out for a long time due to injuries. Karjalainen is expected to be out for approximately 6-8 weeks and Nurmi’s absence is estimated to be 5-6 weeks.
Both defenders played in the match against HIFK on Wednesday, but will not participate in the game against Ilves on Friday. Karjalainen has played 20 games this season with 1+2 points and Nurmi has played 22 games with 1+5 points.
On the injury list for Ässät are already Aleksi Anttalainen (condition monitored day by day), Jonne Tammela (1-3 weeks) and Dylan Fabre (7-9 weeks).
