Forward Leo Komarov, 38, is reportedly making a deal with Kiekko-Espoo according to Atleetin.
The Espoo club is expected to announce the experienced forward’s contract early in the week.
Komarov’s transfer to Kiekko-Espoo can be considered quite a surprise. Previously, the former NHL forward was rumored to join Ässät.
Komarov has been without a team this season. In December, he appeared in the Spengler Cup with HC Davos in five matches.
In the league, Komarov has previously represented HIFK, Ässät, and Pelicans. Last season, the former NHL forward played 39 regular-season games with HIFK, recording 6+13=19 points.
