Ässät signed a top center – “The best place in Finland”
Ässät has signed a one-year extension with Peter Tiivola.
The 32-year-old center has played 51 games this season with a score of 8+16 =24 and has taken on a significant role, especially in Ässät’s penalty kill.
– Peter Tiivola is a big piece of the core of Ässät’s locker room. He is a strong faceoff player, a penalty killer, and takes on a lot of responsibility in crucial moments of the game. It is great that we have an experienced player continuing and being a role model for the younger players as well, Ässät’s sports director Jarno Kultanen commented in the club’s press release.
The upcoming season will be Tiivola’s sixth in an Ässät jersey.
– I have said it before and I will say it again, this is definitely the best place for me to play in Finland. There is no urge to go elsewhere. I like Pori and the people from Pori, the forward commented on his recent extension.
