Ässät made a commitment to their roster: “Has steadily improved their performance”
Defender Petteri Nurmi will continue with Ässät for the rest of the season.
Nurmi, 23, joined Ässät in September with a contract that covered until November 3rd with an option for the rest of the season. Now, Ässät announces that they have exercised the option in Nurmi’s contract for the remainder of the season.
Nurmi has played 14 games for Ässät this season, with a scoring record of 1+4.
– Petteri Nurmi has integrated well into the team and regained his game feel after a long break. He has steadily improved his performance and has already taken on significant responsibility in power play situations in recent rounds, Ässät’s sports director Jarno Kultanen commented in the club’s announcement.
– I have felt very comfortable here and the team has a good spirit, so it’s nice to continue here, Nurmi says.
Additionally, Nurmi’s contract includes a separate option for the 2026-27 season.
