Ässät announced an important extension during the Friday Liiga round.

Feetu Knihti will continue with the team next season as well. The 22-year-old forward’s contract is for one year. Knihti has played 15 games this season with a score of 4+2 =6, receiving the second most penalty kill responsibility on the team.

– Feetu has grown into an important part of our team and has played a big role in the penalty kill formations. Feetu is a tough competitor and ready to take the next step as a professional hockey player, Ässät’s sports director Jarno Kultanen commented in the club’s announcement.

– It is great that he wanted to continue with Ässät and pursue success with the club he has represented since he was a young boy.

Knihti himself especially thanks the coaching staff of Ässät and the fans.

– Ässät currently has excellent coaching both on the ice and in physical training. There are also great leaders among the players, and I have learned a lot from Jan-Mikael Järvinen and many others.

– The supporters here are fantastic, there is always a great atmosphere at home games, the organization has progressed a lot in recent years, and there is still a desire to develop, Feetu Knihti commented.
