The league’s disciplinary delegation has suspended Tappara’s Emil Sylvegård and JYP’s Antti Tyrväinen for two games.

The suspensions are a result of a fight between the two during Wednesday’s round. Sylvegård and Tyrväinen dropped their gloves in the opening shift of the Tappara-JYP game, resulting in both of their evenings being cut short due to a game misconduct.

The disciplinary delegation justifies its decision, among other things, by stating that fights do not belong in international ice hockey and that it was a pre-arranged fight.

The disciplinary delegation’s detailed reasoning can be read here.
