AL: Heikki Liedes returns to the League!
Forward Heikki Liedes is making a return to the Liiga from the Swedish SHL. According to Aamulehti reports, the 33-year-old veteran forward will join Rauman Lukko for the next season.
Liedes has a strong history in Rauma, as he served as the team’s captain in the spring of 2021 when Lukko celebrated the Finnish championship.
In the recently concluded season, Liedes played in Sweden in Luleå. However, his role was limited, and the forward collected 7 points with 2 goals and 5 assists in 50 games.
Before that, Liedes represented Kiekko-Espoo in the 2024–25 season, where he was quite effective. He finished with 39 points from 18 goals and 21 assists in 60 regular season games.
Throughout his long Liiga career, Liedes has also played for KalPa, HPK, KooKoo, and Tappara. With Tappara, he celebrated the Finnish championship in 2024 and secured the title by scoring the winning goal against Pelicans in the finals.
In the Liiga regular season, Liedes has played a total of 624 games in his career, scoring 226 points with 120 goals and 106 assists. In the playoffs, he has accumulated 64 games with 26 points from 13 goals and 13 assists.
