Aarne Intonen is changing company
Aarne Intonen‘s contract with Lukko has been terminated a year early. The league club announced the departure of the 24-year-old center forward on their website on Tuesday.
According to sports director Kalle Sahlstedt, the decision was ultimately beneficial for both parties.
– The player requested the termination of the contract. After that, the matter was considered, and we came to the conclusion that terminating the contract is a better option for both parties.
– We had shared goals with Intonen, and at this point, both were on the same page that the desired level was not reached. It is always unfortunate when a contract has to be terminated, but sometimes it happens, Sahlstedt explained in the club’s statement.
Intonen arrived in Rauma for this season from TPS. The forward played 50 regular season games for Lukko, scoring 5+9=14 points.
Various sources have speculated that the man’s next season club will be SaiPa from Lappeenranta.
