Tappara and Jukurit have made a player trade in the Liiga.

In the trade, French forward Justin Addamo moves on loan to Tappara for the remainder of the season. Forward Verneri Ahonen will move to Jukurit with a contract extending until the spring of 2028.

Addamo, 27, is playing his first season in Finland. He has recorded 13 points (6+7) in 44 games with Jukurit. Addamo has a contract with Jukurit for next season, so he will be seen in Mikkeli again in the 2026-27 season.

Addamo represented France in the recently concluded Olympics, where he recorded 2 points (0+2) in four games.

– Addamo is a versatile, large forward who will help us in the remaining games of the season. We are pleased to have completed this trade, commented Tappara’s GM Janne Vuorinen in the club’s statement.

Ahonen, 23, has already played 22 games on loan with Jukurit this season, recording 8 points (2+6). Additionally, he played ten games with Tappara this season, scoring 3 points (2+1).

– Verkku is a cunning and skilled forward who can play responsibly in both directions. Verkku impressed us during his loan spells and he also got to see our organizational culture. He has a lot of potential to score points and break through in the Liiga. Verkku is also a versatile player, as he can play both center and wing, says Jukurit’s sports director Mikko Hakkarainen in the club’s statement.
