The winds of change are blowing in the Toronto Maple Leafs. The team is searching for a new head coach for the next season.
According to Sportsnet, one of the names that has advanced to the second round of interviews is former NHL star forward Joe Pavelski. This is quite a surprising name, as Pavelski has little prior head coaching experience. He coached the Madison Capitals’ under-15 team in the 15U AAA junior league this season.
Pavelski has plenty of experience from his player career in the NHL. He played in the league for a total of 1,332 games.
In Toronto, serious actions have been taken after a disappointing season. Both head coach Craig Berube and GM Ryan Hardy have been shown the door.
