The Czech defender Ronald Knot, 31, who played for HIFK last season, is moving to Sweden.

The SHL team Färjestad BK has signed Knot on a seven-week contract. Knot arrives in Färjestad to replace the injured Magnus Nygren.

Knot represented HIFK for one season. He played 50 regular season games with a scoring record of 8+12=20 and two playoff games without points.

Knot has been seen several times in the Czech national team in recent years. He has played in both the World Championships and the Olympics.

Knot has not played in the SHL before. He has experience from his home country’s top league, the AHL, and the KHL.
