The Mestis team Joensuun Kiekko-Pojat, aiming for a spot in the Liiga next season, hints at a big news on social media.
Kiekko-Pojat published a humorous Whatsapp conversation on their Instagram account on Monday, where the team’s owner and manager Jaakko Lipponen mentions that the fans can expect a “big package” on Tuesday, December 23 at 12:00.
– Three letters. NHL, Lipponen, who is on his way to Helsinki-Vantaa airport, responded as a hint in the conversation.
Kiekko-Pojat has announced their goal of securing a place in the Liiga for next season. The Joensuu team has the opportunity to rise to the top league either by winning the Mestis championship or by losing in the finals to Jokereille.
Currently, Kiekko-Pojat is in third place in the Mestis.
