Defender Andrej Sustr, 35, is on the open market. The Czech defender played the early season on a tryout with AHL team Bridgeport Islanders, but the trial period did not result in a contract for the rest of the season.
Sustr appeared in 11 AHL games this fall. In those, he recorded one assist and his plus-minus rating was six below zero.
Last season, the 201 cm tall Sustr represented Tappara. In 38 regular season games, he collected stats of 1+11=12. In the playoffs, the Czech defender went without any points.
Sustr has had a respectable NHL career. He has played in the league for eight seasons and 362 games.
