Urheilucast: HIFK, Tappara, TPS or Kärpät? NHL forward coming to Liiga
Urheilucastin reports that Thomas Bordeleau, who has played in the NHL in recent years, is close to moving to Liiga.
According to information published in Instagram’s story section, a contract between the 24-year-old American-Canadian center and one Liiga team is already in the final stages. However, the publication does not reveal which team Bordeleau would be signing with.
Urheilucast suggests possible options as Kärpät, Tappara, HIFK, and TPS.
Bordeleau has played 44 NHL games in his career with the San Jose Sharks. His most recent NHL appearance was in the 2024–25 season.
Last season, the forward played in the AHL with the Utica Comets and Springfield Thunderbirds. In Utica, he recorded 8 points (2 goals and 6 assists) in 35 games. In Springfield, he played 25 games, scoring seven goals and totaling 13 points.
Bordeleau has also represented the United States national team. He played in one World Championship and recorded 2 points (2 goals) in eight games.
